Early voting for Presidential Primary Elections starts March 23, 2024

The Presidential Primary Election will be held Tuesday, April 2.


Early voting for the Presidential Primary Election will be offered Saturday, March 23, through Saturday, March 30.


Two early voting locations in St. Lawrence County are available:

 

42 Maple St., Potsdam, at the Clarkson Building, formerly the Honda dealership, and 100 Riverside Ave, Ogdensburg, at the Dobisky Center.




To Register to Vote

To register to vote for the Presidential Primary, the deadline is March 23, 2024. You may register in person at the St. Lawrence County Board of Elections, at the Dept. of Motor Vehicles or online.


Early Mail Ballots

For an early mail ballot, you can apply online or by going to the St. Lawrence County Board of Elections office by March 23.


A returned mail ballot must be postmarked by April 2. If returned in person, it must be brought to the County Board of Elections Office no later than April 2 by 9 p.m. or to a poll site in your county on April 2 by 9 p.m.


Absentee Ballots

Requests to receive an absentee ballot by mail must be received by March 23. Absentee ballots can also be received in-person at the St. Lawrence County Board of Elections office by the day before elections.


Absentee ballots can be returned in several ways: mailed with a postmark no later than April 2, brought  to the County Board of Elections by April 2 at 9 p.m., brought to an early voting poll site in your county between March 23-30, or brought to a poll site in your county  April 2 by 9 p.m.
