A County Government That Works for Everyone
We need county leaders focused on solutions—not division.
St. Lawrence County faces real challenges. Our families are struggling to pay for gas, heating, groceries, housing, childcare and eldercare. Access to medical care is increasingly difficult, businesses face higher costs, and too many of our young people leave because they cannot find good jobs close to home.
At the same time, Washington is slashing SNAP, slamming our county with an unplanned $775,000 cost, making dramatic cuts to Medicaid, and reducing access to healthcare and other federal assistance that will impact our county budget and the services our residents depend upon.
Our Democratic Candidates Will Work with ALL to support:
• Economic Development: Support sustainable economic development and good-paying jobs that allow our children to build their futures here.
• Healthcare Access: Push back on cuts that harm our hospitals and have led to a double digit rise in healthcare insurance costs.
• Families & Seniors: Expand access to affordable childcare, eldercare and housing.
• SLC Services: Protect the county services that families, seniors and vulnerable residents rely upon.
• Taxpayers: Seek state and federal resources while responsibly protecting local taxpayers.
• Working Together: Bring people together to address problems rather than letting national political battles divide our communities.
