In 2025, Democrats have significantly outperformed expectations in various special elections across the United States, winning 34 out of 39 key contests, including in places with similar demographics as St. Lawrence County’s (link here).

You don't have to wait for the 2026 midterms! You can impact the 2025 elections happening soon (early voting starts October 25) by electing good folks to local positions! See below for helpful general information, as well as information on contested races.
Q: So what will my ballot look like?
A: Click the link below to the St. Lawrence County Board of Elections website and find and click on the name of the town in which you reside, which may be different from your mailing address. You will see a sample ballot.
Please note: If you know someone who needs a ballot and doesn't have internet access, our SLC Board of Elections office is happy to mail a sample ballot. Call 315-379-2202.
Q: What is Proposal Number One on our 2025 ballot?
A: New York Proposal 1, officially the Use of Mount Van Hoevenberg Sports Complex Land and Acquisition of 2,500 Acres for Adirondack Park Amendment, is a legislatively referred constitutional amendment that will appear on the ballot in New York on November 4, 2025, along with certain elections.
